Operation titled "Enterprise development through the introduction of new recreational and health services improving the comfort of relaxation in the LGD ‘Gorce-Pieniny’ area"
aimed at developing the enterprise by expanding with new relaxation and health services through the purchase of innovative equipment, as well as creating a new job until the payment application is submitted. It is co-financed by the European Union under measure 19, “Support for local development under the LEADER initiative” of the Rural Development Program for 2014-2020. The operation is implemented as part of the community-led local development strategy carried out by the Local Action Group Association “Gorce-Pieniny”
The „Budowlani” Health Resort Sanatorium in Szczawnica implemented a project from 01.03.2019 to 30.04.2020 entitled „Improving the energy efficiency of the building: the „Budowlani” Health Resort Sanatorium in Szczawnica in order to reduce energy demand and reduce emissions of harmful gases and dust into the atmosphere”.

The purpose of the project was to carry out an energy modernization of the buildings of the „Budowlani” Health Resort Sanatorium in Szczawnica in order to increase energy efficiency by reducing heat loss and electricity consumption taking into account RES (photovoltaic installation, solar installation, air heat pumps).
The project scope included: insulation of the pool roof, insulation of the sanatorium roof, insulation of the external walls of the reinforced concrete sanatorium building, insulation of the remaining external walls of the sanatorium building including ribs and balconies, replacement of PVC and wooden windows, replacement of external fire doors, replacement of eco-pea coal boilers with pellet boilers and 5 air heat pumps, replacement of the solar installation, replacement of lighting installation, installation of photovoltaic installation.
The result of the project is a 66.28% reduction in CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.
The project was implemented thanks to the support of the Regional Operational Programme of the Małopolska Region for 2014-2020. Priority axis Regional energy policy. Eco-enterprises action.
